"Goods": Physical gold, certified gold coins, or other precious metals offered for sale or purchase by Montford Group.

"Loose Gold": Uncertified or ungraded gold items, such as scrap gold or bullion without certification.

3.1 Placing an Order — When you place an order, it's an offer to purchase Goods subject to these Terms. We reserve the right to accept or decline your order at our discretion (e.g., due to stock availability or pricing fluctuations).
3.2 Pricing — Prices for goods are based on live precious metal market rates and may fluctuate until your order is confirmed. All prices exclude VAT unless stated, for example where VAT applies to silver products.
For telephone orders, a minimum deposit of 10% is required to secure the products within the order. Upon receipt of this deposit, the specified items will be removed from the market and reserved on the client's behalf. However, this deposit does not fix or guarantee the price of the products. Due to the fluctuating nature of the precious metals market, final pricing will only be confirmed at the time full payment is made. The price applicable to the transaction will therefore be the live market price at the point of final payment, at which stage the order becomes binding and confirmed.
Online purchase prices also remain subject to change outside of normal office hours. Montford Group's standard office hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 19:00 (UK time). Orders placed outside of these hours are reviewed when the office reopens, and pricing is not confirmed until accepted by Montford Group during office hours. If the market price has moved, the order price may be adjusted up or down prior to confirmation.
Montford Group reserves the right to cancel any online order at its discretion prior to price confirmation and acceptance. Where an order is cancelled by Montford Group, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
3.3 Payment — Full payment is required before dispatch. Montford Group accept direct bank transfer and card payment. Some credit card payments may be subject to an additional fee of 1%.
3.4 Price Adjustments — Due to market fluctuations, we may adjust prices for unconfirmed orders. If this happens, Montford Group will notify you and give you the option to accept the new price or cancel without penalty.
3.5 Deposits — A £100 holding deposit secures availability of the order for 2 hours but does not fix pricing. A 10% deposit secures the order for up to two weeks. This will only secure the coin but NOT the price. At which point either the balance is required to be paid or a refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the deposit.
4.1 — Goods are delivered via insured shipping to the address you provide. Delivery costs are outlined at checkout or detailed within our invoice provided prior to payment.
4.2 — Please ensure that the correct delivery address is clearly stated on your final paid invoice. Montford Group accepts no responsibility for any loss, delay, or mis-delivery arising from an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the client. It is the client's responsibility to verify all delivery details prior to final payment being made.
4.3 — Montford Group aim to dispatch orders within 2 business days of payment clearance, providing the coins are in stock, via secure insured delivery providers, though delays may occur due to factors beyond our control. Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery.
5.1 Loose Gold — Montford Group offer to buy back loose gold (e.g., scrap or uncertified bullion) at 96% of the current market spot price, determined by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) fix on the day we receive and assess your items.
5.2 Certified Gold — Montford Group encourages clients to view certified gold coins and certified gold products as a medium to long term investment. As such, Montford Group reserves the right to decline the repurchase of certified gold coins within two years of the original purchase date, as market conditions, grading premiums, and prevailing supply and demand factors may prevent us from making an attractive offer during this period. Any buy back offer will be made entirely at Montford Group's discretion and is not guaranteed (within the first two years).
5.3 Process — To sell to us, contact us for instructions. You'll receive a guide price at this time but that price will not be definitive. Once you ship your goods to us at your expense (unless pre-agreed), we will assess the items and provide a final valuation price within 3 business days of receipt. You can accept our offer or opt for auction via Gold Bidder. If you decline both, we will return your items at your cost.
5.4 Payment — Upon agreement, Montford Group will pay you via bank transfer within 5 business days.
6.1 — All sales are final. Montford Group do not offer refunds, exchanges, or the right to cancel once an order is confirmed, except where required by law (e.g., if goods are faulty or misdescribed). Due to the fluctuating nature of precious metals markets, your agreement to purchase is binding upon payment. Please ensure you're certain before ordering.
7.1 — Montford Group are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., lost profits) arising from your use of our Website or Goods. Our total liability is limited to the value of your order.
7.2 — Montford Group don't guarantee market performance or future value of Goods — precious metal prices can go down as well as up.
